Atom announce new sponsorship deal to extend support from the professional game to grass roots

Kitting out Percy Park Under 9s for the 2024/25 season

Just a few weeks ago we announced that Atom had extended our sponsorship at Kingston Park so that our beautiful branding quite frankly couldn’t be missed in the East Stand.

However, we’re not just focused on the glitz, glamour and floodlights of professional rugby; we’re equally passionate about supporting the grass roots game. Which is why we’re delighted to be sponsoring the playing shirts and training tops of Percy Park Under 9s for the 2024/25 season.

The North Tyneside-based club has a reputation for having one of the region’s best mini and junior rugby setups and the club lies at the heart of the local community.

In a serendipitous twist of fate, Percy Park’s first fixture since receiving their new kit just so happened to be the Falcons Community Festival at Kingston Park on 10th November, giving us the perfect photo opportunity to launch our kit to the masses (of freezing cold parents in attendance).

We hope you’ll agree that our logo looks stunning on the Percy Park kit and, thanks to the magic of artificial grass pitches, the team’s shirts remain pristine and picture perfect for one more week at least.

For those of you wondering, the Under 9s did their new shirts justice winning a remarkable 8 of their 9 matches – an incredible result in the children’s first season of contact rugby. They were even rewarded with a photo alongside Newcastle’s iconic mascot, Flash the Falcon.

Speaking at the launch of the new Percy Park shirt, one unnamed Under 9s player commented,

“Yeah, the kit’s really nice but I’d rather be sponsored by PRIME.”

Another enthusiastic teammate, added, “I thought IT was a clown not a computer?!”

Atom Managing Director and part-time rugby referee, Dean Cowens, said,

“Seeing the Atom logo across the Percy Park jersey and windcheater is a proud moment for the business. Yes, it gets the business name seen wherever the team go but more importantly it makes this group of kids feel that little bit more special and, dare I say, professional when they put on their kit every week.”
